Craft For: Path

"Craftsmanship paves my path." Yve embraces the journey of craftsmanship as a reflection of life itself. When creating, he contemplates where the hammer should strike and the direction to move, engaging in both meditation and training. This practice helps him cultivate a greater space and skill set for his creative work, opening up new avenues for his artistic journey.

What do you "Craft for"?

"From the bottom of my heart, I genuinely aspire to become a craftsman, dedicating myself to creation and the art of crafting handmade items. However, pursuing this profession in Hong Kong presents significant challenges due to the complexities of my diverse background and training.

As a result, I am committed to creating an environment that harmoniously balances my career aspirations with my personal interests. This environment must also address the needs and expectations of those around me, particularly in relation to my family business. To continue on my journey of craft, I recognise I must manage various responsibilities across multiple fields, including business, product development, and education."

「買一件嘢, 係買佢嘅價值觀」

Yve is the founder of DA&A. He is constantly expanding his horizons in craftsmanship, having studied jewellery design at Birmingham City University in the UK and later working as a jewellery designer in Hong Kong. His relentless pursuit of craftsmanship led him to attend diamond appraisal courses at the Gemological Institute of America, becoming an expert in diamond appraisal and gemology.

Yve has never shied away from his pursuit of craftsmanship. In recent years, he has traveled around the world, exploring various cultural crafts and connecting with like-minded goldsmiths from diverse cultural backgrounds.
