Chris Li
Craft For: Collection
"Time provides nutrition for artists to grow." The concept of time is consistently present in Chris's creations, whether it be the craftsmanship that requires time to hone or the aesthetic sense that needs time to cultivate. It is precisely because of the value of time that he hopes to immortalise the most beautiful moments, treasuring and preserving them for eternity.

What do you "Craft for"?
"Time is a key word for craftsmen/artists or designers, meaning they spend time achieving goals, which is the principle of process and progress. In my creations, I often incorporate the philosophy of "creating in thought."
- Chris Li
How did you get into the jewellery industry and why?
"I graduated as a contemporary jewellery designer, hoping to expand into the concept of being a sustainable artist, which is a practical concept in retail."
- Chris Li
What motivates you to persevere in this industry in Hong Kong?
"This city needs some "crazy ideas" to break through the traditional views of jewellery. From my perspective, jewellery is closely related to fashion, and fashion is closely connected to trends. I enjoy something vivid and vibrant to achieve "creating in thought."
- Chris Li
"Time nourishes artists."
Chris graduated from the Sydney College of the Arts and has showcased his work in various exhibitions. After returning to Hong Kong, he established the studio Gold Steed Atelier.
In order to capture the most beautiful moments, he continuously studies the art of casting and creates wearable metal sculptural jewellery through physical casting methods, complemented by carefully crafted and ingenious designs.
