How did you get into the jewellery industry and why?
"My grandfather operated a coral mining and trading business in Taiwan, and the elders in my family also ran a jewellery store in Japan. After graduating from art university, I gained a deeper understanding of the jewellery industry through work opportunities. After completing the GIA diamond diploma, I further studied wax carving and established the studio Chiao Artisanal Jewellery in 2016."

Being in Hong Kong, what benefits and difficulties have you had as a jeweller?
"In Taiwan, many experienced goldsmiths have also been trained in Guangdong and Hong Kong. The jewellery craftsmanship in Hong Kong combines its unique cultural heritage with a mature industrial structure, which is definitely a significant advantage. Each stage presents different challenges; rather than making assumptions, I strive to prepare myself and respond promptly to market demands."

Do you have a message you would like to tell the public through this event?
"There often exists a gap between "art and the jewellery industry" and the public. I am grateful for this joint exhibition, which allows us to share the stories behind our works more completely. Creations born from life experiences may, at certain moments, convey warmth to those who have had similar insights. I also look forward to bringing more interesting choices to the existing jewellery market."
