What do you "Craft for"?

"In my years of study, I have been practicing at mixed-media creations, exploring the relationship between ones and the society, with objects designed by mankind and pop-culture serving as the inspiration for my work to explore the materials of found objects and reacts on the identity of the objects itself and expands on the identity of oneself.

In my creative works, I combine graphic and typographic design with the traditional elements of calligraphy to create experimental wearable art pieces and installations using metalworking, ceramics, and sewing techniques.

I craft for the journey and the thrill of exploring the unknown and the pondering or simply the questions itself"

What motivates you to persevere in this industry in Hong Kong?

"Rather than seeking a traditional 9-to-5 oce position, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work in a well-equipped studio setting. This environment, along with the guidance and mentorship from experienced seniors in the field, allows me to continue pursuing my studies and passion for this medium.

I am eager to build upon the foundational knowledge I gained during my university coursework in metalworking."

Do you have a message you would like to tell the public through this event?

"As a member of the younger generation, I am eager to combine innovative ideas with the traditional techniques and legacy of this industry. This fusion of the new and the past allows me to push the boundaries of the craft while honoring its rich history.

Though balancing various responsibilities can be demanding, I remain resolute in my pursuit to hone my skills and artistic expression within this professional setting tailored to my needs and aspirations."
